N2 - Description of the unique Welsh experience and challenges developing terminology to denote new concepts (i.e. neologisms) as well as the expansion of Welsh-medium education. Under the British state, Welsh was not introduced in educational institutions until 1988. Since then, there have been concerted efforts on various fronts, including legislation, to develop Welsh more generally as a modern, flexible language able to take on the challenges of the twenty-first century.
