N2 - We present a genome assembly from an individual female Andrena dorsata (the short-fringed mining bee; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hymenoptera; Andrenidae). The genome sequence is 277.3 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 3 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 16.11 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 10,916 protein coding genes.
