Lynda joined SNS in January 2012 as a Lecturer in Physical Geography, and became a Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography in February 2018. She is the Degree Programme Director for the Geography programmes at Bangor. Lynda is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
Lynda has studied and worked in a number of UK Universities. She began her career at Northumbria University (BSc.), went on to Durham University (MSc.) and completed her Ph.D. at the University of Hull. She worked in industry prior to her undergraduate degree and following her Masters' degree.
Lynda's research interests lie in reconstructing fluvial histories, glacial sedimentology. and geoarchaeology. She has a strong interest in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, paricularly within the GEES disciplines. Lynda works with colleagues in the School of Ocean Sciences and the School of History, Philosophy and Social Sciences on teaching and research, reflecting her wide interests.
