I am an interdisciplinary conservation scientist with broad interests in how social and ecological systems interact.

I am particularly interested in the relationships between communities, their local environment and conservation actors and how we can align often competing interests between these stakeholders. Having completed a PhD investigating the conservation conflicts surrounding large carnivores in the Ruaha landscape (Tanzania) I am now working as a postdoc with Dr. Freya St John trying to improve our understanding of the drivers of illegal behaviour in national parks.
